What an artistic shot - I really like this: serious, without being severe. And he looks like he’s about to break into a grin ;)

Hey, Lady…does Kwaku Alston know about you?

This shot is so evocative of the little celebrated, and undercherished, nuances of the soul that make Black males the subject of both our poetry and hearts.

    Very nice to see.

Wow, we have been traveling, so it was a nice surprise to come back to this, and such nice compliments. I love photographing my kids, but this one is the one I am most proud of.

I used this shot as a ‘thank you’ card for his teachers the end of the year with the Emerson quote, “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies with in us.”

I know I am the biased mom, but I could just stare at this picture all day.
