Love the trefoil pose ( v. cool camera shot) - if Caden grows a few more inches, it’ll be a 4 leaf clover. And congrat on have 4 kids who know what a REAL smile for the camera is

I am crying right now. This is unbelievably moving, poignant, and as perfect a depiction of what we want to see in our children’s faces: summer and Christmas all the time, weeklong birthdays, and memories of cotton candy behind their eyes.
Last night as my nine year old looked at another pic posted here, that of William, his face lit up to see the little boy’s shirt, and I thought, yes, he is still in touch with his joy, his ability to enjoy the flavors of life.
Then my three oldest children started dancing, kind of Alvin Ailey Wade-in-the-Water style, with long waves of cloth and ribbon, interweaving arms and bodies, heads rising up and through bridges of arms, and I tried to capture this moment of my two little girls and their older brother feeling each other out quietly, joining in the dance, moving to Enya’s haunting, “Only Time.”
I am so bad with the camera, though.
From my house to yours…hugs and kisses.
